this isn't good.

And so I had to, I didn't even pack up my camp.

I had my little minions do it for me, Katie and I think Steve and maybe my kids, but probably not.

Probably Matty Jackson was pretty useless at helping with that stuff.

He was real good at delegating and finding a packet of chips that he could eat and then the other people do the work.

But

Yeah, I got back, I had to drive straight to the hospital and then I got told that, sorry, it's spread into your lymph nodes.

You're looking at stage four cancer.

They were going to book me for surgery.

So I had all of this panic.

like months of just like freaking out a wee bit about what was going on and just those anxious feelings.

And then I got this phone call when I was actually, I was helping taking kids to, I was in Tauranga and I'd taken some of the first 11 boys over to play.

And I was literally sitting at a cafe and it was two days before my surgery was supposed to happen.

And I got a phone call from one of those colorectal nurses who said, hey, is there any way you can come into hospital today?

And I'm like, oh, well, I'm actually over in Tauranga at the moment.

I'm like helping with transport for these boys.

Can I talk to someone on the phone?

And they're like, oh, we'd prefer you came in.

And I went, oh, gosh.

And they're like, have you got any support people?
