Like, how can this be at this point in time that it's this advanced?
And I didn't know.
Like, obviously the bleeding was a giveaway and maybe being a little bit tired, but surely you feel like your body should be ravaged a little bit more.
And I shouldn't have been able to be doing all of the things that I was doing at the time.
Um,
It just shows you what your body is capable of doing while dealing with something pretty awful inside.
Oh, it was pretty horrific.
But while driving home and going, mum and dad were going to pay for a private oncologist.
And that was going to be the plan.
And then we got this phone call from the surgeon who goes, Becky, this is quite unreal, but I've just had an email from one of the oncologists who's seen your case and
who wants to see you and he wants to take you on and he wants to see you on Thursday.
And I went, what?
So I had the most amazing man, the most amazing oncologist, Dr. Kennedy.
I call him Dr. K. Ian Kennedy.
