So we've kind of got the sugar beet grown, the sugar beets out of the ground, sugar beets in the truck, and we haul them to the piling facilities or to the factory, and then they kind of get processed all winter long, right?
And so the sugar beets get made into table sugar, pure white sugar, sucrose, you know.
It's the same whether it's from cane or beet.
That's a common misconception I hear is that.
Mm-hmm.
Cane sugar tastes better.
Not ripping on my cane sugar friends here.
It's just, it's exactly the same, the pure white sugar, but a lot of people don't know that.
Now, some of like the factories and processing equipment, like can make different size crystals, you know, and different things like that.
So I guess you could maybe, you know, pick based on crystal sizes, but the sugar is the same.
depending on whether it's cane or beet.
Now they have different byproducts.
Fun fact about sugar beets is every single byproduct from the sugar beets, except for the leaves that go back to the soil, is used in some way, shape or form.
Right.
So you get the main product that we grow is sucrose, pure white granulated table sugar.
But there's also beet pulp.
And the beet pulp, fun fact, has actually become really important to the racehorse industry and to pet food because it's high in fiber.
And it also has some of the sugars in it in some sense to help with.
It's like a prebiotic.
