The Therapeutic Goods Administration or the TGA have put out another release saying that these products that are unregulated, that people are sourcing from social media, websites, some health professionals are not safe because you don't know what you're getting and they're untested.
Yes, and Eli Lilly have said they are the sole owner of the patent for retatrutide.
They are not yet distributing it for human use.
So whatever you're buying or whatever people are purchasing, which is called retatrutide or RETA, you don't actually know what's in it.
It's not been tested by the TGA.
The Department of Health in Victoria have put out an announcement saying that there have been now six cases of acute liver toxicity in Victoria from the use of this unapproved peptide.
So...
It seems really shiny on the advertisements and often the language used is quite convincing.
I've seen it, Belle, but these are unregulated, untested products.

And just a reminder that these cases of H5N1 have been detected in birds.
There's no confirmed human cases in Australia currently.
And even if there is jumping of the virus from an animal like a bird to a human, this is a virus that does not easily transmit between humans.
And in fact, in the US outbreak, there was no evidence of that.
