It felt like protection, but it also, I say this in the book, the flip side of protection is control.
Yeah.
Right?
Where you're just not, you do not have agency.
And one of the great parts of my life now is having that financial agency and not having anyone have any control over me in that way.
None.
I really thought, and I thought about it, I thought, I'm picking someone so different.
I'm going to learn from it.
And I repeated it in a much more spectacular fashion because their mates actually wanted forgiveness and wanted to come back.
Mine did not.
