So it just shows how quickly that game is moving away from everybody.
Yeah.
And that could continue to move away.
Fuel costs go up.
Suddenly the sustainable fuels, even though they're essential, don't look cost effective.
So who knows?
It's fine for the FIA to say, we're definitely going in this direction.
We're going to have V8s and some kind of KERS system.
It's fine for F1 to get on board with that too.
But...
when you dig into it, what's the world going to look like at the point at which they need to make the call?
It could look very different.
Maybe they need to go in a completely different direction.
What if Toyota's bet on hydrogen in the automotive world suddenly is the panacea and everybody goes, actually, no, we need to go in that direction.
Then you've got to completely rip everything up and start again.
So to answer your original question, I think it looks simple, but I think the reality will be far from it.
I wonder if actually we're just going to move away from the road relevance concept
angle altogether like the when the high initial hybrid rules came in it was all about that right it was like this is this is where everything's going and how many how many hybrid cars did Ferrari Mercedes really sell or make in the end like the game it didn't seem worth it
the direction Formula One went in from that point of view.
This seems like another stab at that, the 50-50 thing.
