It feels to me like he feels by rights he should always be ahead of Franco.

There's a few of these like trends where a car that is just a bit off in qualifying is much more competitive in the race.

Again, it feels like the performance across the grid kind of normalizes a little bit more and you can use circumstances to get ahead and stay ahead.

Whereas in qualifying, the gaps are slightly more stretched.

Yeah, this is an interesting question because I do sense, not necessarily in the realms of the decision makers here, but in the kind of wider sense of the F1 paddock and people who work within it, that, yeah, they're looking at...

Maybe not with the level of information that some people in F1 do have at the Antonelli-Russell dynamic and thinking, well, this is just what happens.

You know, a driver you think is pretty good suddenly finds a generational talent comes in and takes a team off of them.

It happened to Daniel Ricciardo at Red Bull with Max Verstappen.

Arguably, it happened to Lewis Hamilton with George Russell at Mercedes.

It's just the kind of, you know, moment you get found out.

But I don't think that is the reality of the situation, as we discussed earlier.

I think Russell is behind Antonelli.

There's that kernel of truth to it that Antonelli being a much younger, much less experienced driver, in theory, Russell should have him covered, given what we've said about how consistently good Russell has been in F1.

And many times it's been said that if he has the right car, the right circumstances, he can fight for the title or win the title.

100%.

That should be this year.

And Antonelli is upstaging him.

And there's no doubt there's an element of truth in the driving that Antonelli has locked into this formula better than Russell has.

But as I've said before, I don't think the gap we're seeing that's creating this impression, this distorted impression amongst the sort of wider envelope of the F1 community is indicative of the reality between Antonelli and Russell.

It's much, much closer between them than it looks.
