I didn't even think about it like the day of or even.
And then it like hit me.
Oh, yeah, I was going to do that.
And, you know, I was talking to chill.
I started, you know, untying my shoes and proceeded to do it.
But, yeah, I think I think that's an important thing.
And I agree with the sentiment.
And, you know, I actually just had this revelation this morning.
That's like.
how many people get to do that in front of their hometown?
It's like probably almost, almost none.
I mean like Olympic trials or Olympics, or you know what, that's generally when people would do something like that.
Like how many people get that in their hometown that they've competed in front of and lived in front of for so many years.
And so I think I was, I was really lucky in that, uh, and you know, in being able to do that.
And the crowd was, I don't know if you could tell from TV, but it was, it was amazing.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, I didn't even think about it that way, but that's a great way to think about it.
You know, the way I always tried to think about it, Daniel, was and my kids never we never took them to competitions, but obviously my daughter was born in.
2013 and i i retired the first time in 2017 and i fought again in 2019 for a little bit um but i always tried to let them see me struggle and so like you know like my worst thing was strength conditioning so i would take them to a strength and conditioning workout where i was just getting killed you know and and had to push through it and push hard because i wanted to make sure that they always knew that um the skills i had didn't just come out of magic right they came out of hard work and grittiness
And I think there's a lot of people in the world who think that people who are highly successful, just poof, it just happened.
