The solution is to just be intentional with where you place your outrage and being mindful of when you're letting yourself just take shortcuts to change.
I think it's time we have an uncomfortable conversation about the performative Instagram story infographic.
And listen, I am speaking from experience because especially in 2020, in the early 2020s, I was guilty of that.
I would really think that I was doing something by literally just reposting the Instagram story that 50 other people that I followed reposted.
And seeing that that ultimately, for a lot of it, resulted in nothing.
It's disheartening.
And I feel so like, and like, I don't, I'm at no level like a proper activist, but I think like for the stuff that I do believe in, there's a lot more that I could be doing.

Like, okay, for example, to take it back, like I have lived months before where I barely hung out with anyone.
I only interacted with the world through like content designed to rile me up.
Like I would get a video on my feed of someone getting like sucked into a machine in India and then like turned into a red pulp and then scroll and it'd be like a Becca Bloom Birkin unboxing video.
And I think that made me numb.
