um that it it it's almost like the illusion of choice so i think that's a roadblock towards like actual change um that there's so much crossover between uh these parties in some things and not like obviously i am not saying i am not saying that the other option was the better one and the people that are like i'm not voting for kamala so i'm voting for what the like i'm not like defending like horseshoe theory at all here but
so i get there's that but um here's the thing i think that institutionalization helps people process events because you're together you are um you know whatever like social issue there is having a community and even like small ones like neighborhood communities against xyz or national communities or international communities against xyz
um are a great way to like not feel alone in whatever um struggle or issue that you're facing and that you feel like despair over um but i think like without those with as i showed in the line um institutionalization being completely down while politicization is completely up
people are just alone in their fucking despair.
Like they have, they're completely riled up, but there is no tangible way.
I mean, obviously they exist, but people just aren't either immediately gravitating to them or choosing to make some sort of actual change by, you know, once again, like making a political party, a community coalition, like things like that.
So,
I think that leads people to eventually just become numb, like, in general, to everything.
To lose empathy, which extends to, like, murder, like, seeing murders and war and... And, like, the counterculture movement of the 70s, I'm not the most, like, well-versed on the history of it, but, like, it wasn't just...
Like, a political movement, one and done.
Like, it wasn't going to a rally and then going home.
Like, it was a full community and way of life.
Like, it wasn't just, like, picket signs.
It was, like, some people lived that whole life and are still living that way because they found such deep community within that.
So, yeah.
But now we have people that like posted like an Instagram story in 2020 and then like voted for Trump in 2026 because nothing lasts in our current like sociopolitical state and everything is so futile.
So.
Here's the thing.
While I do think that, like, our minds aren't able to healthily consume all of the news and media that we get, especially, like, the new form of, like, social media news where, like, every time a fucking pebble moves, people are like, I cannot believe this, but the U.S.
doomsday plane just took off.
