Um at the beginning of the seminar.
Uh someone up at the front asked, How many of you are on MLB teams?
And about seventy percent of the room raised their hand.
Because they're all there trying to hire these biomechanists.
You know.
The guy gives his presentation and then he walks out into a room and interviews with 10 teams.
That's basically how it went for everyone presenting this weekend.
Teams are all over this.
They are sending their staffs of analysts.
They are both trying to get information from these presentations.
They're talking to the researchers separately.
They're trying to hire them.
This is clearly the place where teams are spending the most kind of intellectual capital.
They're doing and
I I feel like honestly, I don't really know the internal workings of all this, but I would imagine that the kind of the rise of AI coding in the last year has exploded that that expense on team sides too.
If if you look at the presentations, you could kind of tell that you can kinda tell which ones were uh maybe a little too AI'd this year for the first time.
Uh that but I think the the processing power that people have gotten access to has really changed the way that uh that some of these studies work.
Uh many of the non-biomechanical studies this year.
Uh sorry, many of the non like official, like real great uh motion capture biomechanical studies this year were using some kind of like uh markerless biomechanics tracking.
