It is uh, you know, arms-wise roster triage. Turn wise, they're barely hanging on. They've had 10 starters hit the I. L. We are 152 games into the year. Uh, this is not, this was never sustainable, and they're paying the tax on some of this now. So when you have a game like Monday, that is right there, and you have multiple opportunities to win it, and there are 50-50 marginal calls that you don't make, or we don't like the, you know, it was a coin flip and it flipped against you. And that rolls into, well, you were never gonna win. win this game. That is Really difficult. And uh that one felt like that last night. As it's snowballed, you're like, man, you really would have liked to have had Monday's game.
You would have you needed it anyway. But the way this one played out, you really needed Monday's. And then simultaneously, as you're losing 10 to 1, the Cleveland Guardians walk off the Chicago White Sox. So you are now two games. out of the wild card spot. Uh you still have ten to go, but the Guardians are only a half game back of the White Sox. And as we've discussed, if the Guardians jump the White Sox, you don't have the tiebreaker against the White Sox. The Texas Rangers has all have also jumped you by half a game. So you now have to outperform the Texas Rangers, who you're going to play in their ballpark. This weekend. You have a three o'clock game today as well. And you were just trying to salvage one game of this series against the Tigers team that's now won six in a row, including two against you.
There was also a bunch of Medium bad to light bad news on the injury update front yesterday. We will get into that uh later in the show. That's that's for sure. She was down on the floor. We were old people sitting in seats, but um no, it was uh really cool to see.
