I think basically when you watch him pitch, you're always expecting this to not work, essentially.
Like you're expecting just something.
To something to get clobbered and he just throws curveballs in weird counts.
They work really well.
Batters cannot stay back on them.

If you throw a pitch that looks like nothing else, uh almost all our systems work by like analogy, work by looking what's like your pitch.
And uh
You know, if there's nothing like your pitch, if you're Tyler Rogers, um, or if you're Trey Yus Savage with this crazy arm slot or Joey Cantello with this curveball no one else throws, uh yeah, like it it's useful.
It's it's another way to fool batters, you know, it's all about breaking timing.
And one way to break timing is to throw a pitch that they don't ever get to see.
