I mean the players are gonna be like, all right, guys, you wanna give up on these uh these teams that are selling for record valuations to go have a lockout and cut off your nose to stripe spite your face.
So I do think that'll this will put pressure on the lockout to find a resolution.
Look, man, like it's not just that a rich guy with a history of buying sports teams and doing well with them is buying these teams.
You know, Apollo Global, a big private equity shop, just put some money into the Yankees at ten billion dollars.
Um, you know, the Padres sold.
More teams are gonna sell.
Teams are selling well.
The White Sox sold for a fairly big number after, you know, people saying, uh, this is like a both a poorly run franchise and one that'll never sell.
There's money moving in baseball and these new owners probably don't have as much appetite for breaking the union with a lockout as, you know, noted kind of curmudgeon Arte Moreno did.
Uh they have a lot of money in and they're in
here.
Like they don't have any banked profits from past years.
This is if they if they buy in and then crash the league, it's gonna look really bad for them.
So I I think that the new blood coming in.
augers a resolution a little bit, but I don't think it's gonna change the public arguments that we hear.
I mean, like yeah, I guess the O's look better, but they're one game ahead of the J's.
Like this is just uh
This is great.
I I didn't love the idea of having so many playoff spots and so many mediocre teams, but this is fun.
And I gotta say, the Jays look a little better than mediocre to me.
