It's interesting to me that owners are, you know, it looks like valuations are still going up.
Um, I mentioned in my article that.
You know, if you look at a lot of the top owners have had about franchise valuations, they're always citing these Forbes articles, which are great, you know.
It's cool that Forbes tries to come up with a
You know, it's not like a
Like a rock solid method, but a method at all for valuing these teams that people don't show the books for.
Um yeah, they've been like twenty five percent low on average on sales in the past year or two.
And that's even with uh you know, they've they've been pushing it up every year.
Baseball teams are growing in these valuations, but clearly the actual value has gone up by more than these model estimates think.
Um
Is that gonna affect the walkout?
I mean
It you'd think that it would make it harder for owners to talk in the public sphere about how their franchise values aren't going up?
Uh
It probably won't, right?
They'll just say, uh, Southern California exception.
And that stuff's not real.
It's they're saying it in the court of public opinion.
And since it's just for the court of public opinion, I don't see why they would stop saying our franchises are undervalued.
In the actual discussions with the players, yeah.
