I haven't thought about this.
It's really caused problems for me, this, because there have been so many Premier League, great Premier League debuts.
I had to Google it.
I think Lewis Suarez had a good debut for Liverpool.
He came off the bench, scored against Stoke, but that's not my favourite.

I would say August 1996 was a really good start to the season for Premier League debuts because you not only had obviously the great Gary Speed scoring for Everton against Newcastle who were going for the league that season supposedly in a 2-0 win, but on that same day Fabrizio Ravenelli introduced himself to the Premier League.
His previous game had been in the Champions League final for Juventus, scoring the winning goal against Ajax.

It was the Samba Boys against the Spice Boys.
