I don't think that was realistic.

but it's worrying how pessimistic they sound.

I don't know if some of this is just expectation management of we're going to play this down as much as we can, and then if it's a bit better than that, we the drivers and the team look a bit better, but I don't know.

It doesn't sound particularly positive.

Since Miami, where there were a lot of upgrades because we hadn't been racing for so long at that point,

The way in which teams have done upgrades, it's kind of diverged a bit, but it's the same philosophy of there seem to be these major upgrades for teams and then minor, smaller upgrades sort of filtered in alongside.

So if you think of Austria, for example, that's where Red Bull, Audi and Cadillac brought their significant upgrade packages.

Canada, it was Mercedes and McLaren.

Barcelona was Ferrari, of course.

And then Hungary last time out was Aston Martin.

Williams haven't had one of those in a very long time.

In fact, they are the only team on the grid not to bring more than three upgrades to an event since Miami.

And that's fine if you make a massive jump like Aston Martin did when that big upgrade arrives.

It just doesn't sound like it will.

Hungary really exposed the reliance this team has on that Mercedes power unit and how good that battery is because...

And through the corners, it's just, it's bad.

It's real bad.

I mean, Piastri's got first-hand knowledge of that now, but it's not great.

And I thought what was interesting was Albon saying, well, we'll fight these Aston Martins in the races that, you know, due to straight line speed at some of these tracks.

Honda have an engine upgrade coming.
