What other media influenced your work?
Yeah.
I mean, that's interesting you mentioned Almodovar because there's something about his language, which is entirely a space of art, it seems to me.
Yeah, yeah.
It lodges in your brain in a way that some art doesn't.
Especially the earlier work, I think.
Yeah.
There's something about finding an auteur that has a language that you can keep returning to and you kind of almost like insist on or need to be there.
Is there a particular discipline in your daily working life that you see as an essential ritual?
One of the things that I think is so fascinating about making art is how much of the making happens in your head versus, as we've discussed, you know, these incredibly long periods of physically making.
Because I think for many people who aren't artists...
they wouldn't understand just how much of it does happen when you're walking or cycling or on the tube or whatever, right?
So lots of it happens when you're almost disarmed.
A lot of good ideas come in those moments.
Yeah.
If you could live with just one work of art, what would it be?
How beautiful.
