Not the season they were hoping for.
I mean, no one could have predicted Liverpool would be quite so dominant this
But the fact that Liverpool have started to slip up themselves in the last couple of weeks and City are nowhere near enough to even think about challenging shows how far gone that is.
But Pep will want to make sure his team finishes second.
And I think he'll want to try and put themselves in as strong a position as possible as soon as possible so they can go on and then perhaps even target some of the other cup competitions.
And you're right about wanting a bit of revenge because there's nothing that hurts more in Manchester to City fans than losing to United.
Now, the clubs have been transformed, both of them, haven't they, for different reasons in the last five or ten years.
The City fans have had some great days against United.
But typically, United have actually done pretty well against Manchester City recently, not least in the EFL Cup semi-final second leg when City, you know, should have won the first leg at Old Trafford maybe 4 or 5-0.
Instead, it was fairly tight.
They went back to the Etihad.
Again, you're expecting City to lay down their dominance.
And actually, it was Man United who was struggling at the time coming up with that 1-0 win.
And that hurts the City fans because it's just a little knife in the back, a little needly point to stick them with when they go into work.
So,
They'll be desperate to put that right and show that they are the dominant team in Manchester this weekend.
I expect Pep to always tweak his line-up.
He's a manager who likes to rotate.
He has a squad which is very, very capable.
If you look at the first 11 and then what you... If you pick your first 11, for example, now, and then drew the second 11 as you see it on paper, most of those positions are pretty interchangeable and you don't actually lose a great deal of quality.
