Because we would see the first thing, it would actually output the variable.
If you had a sign one equals fun, you know, it would actually output fun.
So because it like the curly brackets are a variable sign, and then it would look for the first one.
And then the rest of it was like not valid syntax.
So it would just discard that.
And now, okay, so a lot of people have this stuff.
Some of it are typos.
Some of it is like they actually intentionally thought it was going to work.
It didn't work, but technically it did.
And so if we were to support Boolean expressions, all of a sudden you would have a handful of merchants, not even that many, like a small number, but still we can break zero.
That's our budget is zero.
So you would have some merchants who like, you know, it was rendering like this one day, but all of a sudden this Boolean expression is going to start rendering like
And so now it's going to start looking like this.
And as a merchant, maybe you don't have access to the code.
Maybe you hired a developer and you come on and you see your site and all of a sudden it's different one day and you don't know why that is like not okay.
So, so what the heck did we do?
Well, first we had to make, we actually have two parsers.
We had a lax parser and a strict parser, but then it turned out our strict parser wasn't strict enough.
And so what do you do?
You make a third parser.
