So let me go ahead and start out with my report.

First, and starting out,

WHEN WE STARTED THIS PROCESS OF APPROPRIATIONS, WE WERE ABLE TO GET ONE, WE APPLIED FOR $1.1 MILLION FOR THE BUDGET ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE.

OVERALL, I WAS ABLE TO BRING FOR THE CITY ALONE SIX, SORRY, LOST TRACK, $675,000 FOR THE CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE.

where those appropriations would focus on our substance abuse housing.

We got $250,000 towards that.

For anybody who knows anything or has people that are dealing with substance abuse issues, this is strategically important for our community because

You know, mental health is a thing, and substance abuse is a thing.

And we want to make sure that we have the dollars in place to continue to support those who may be suffering with substance use as well as mental health issues.

And this focuses on challenges to getting housing,
