So we've confirmed news that Pico Lopez is going to be going to the World Cup with Cape Verde.

It looks like Joey Anang, the Pats goalkeeper, is going to be going with Ghana.

And more importantly, potentially,

We have four players included in Hamer, Hal Gribson's squad to face Canada and Qatar at the end of the month.

Sean McRover's Adam Brennan and Ed McGinty are included.

Dawson Devoy from Bohemians is included, as is Conor Brand, the Cork City goalkeeper in the first division.

Ex-League of Ireland star Mason Melia is included, Jadon Uma, obviously formerly of Cork City, and also Alex Murphy, formerly of Galway and Idle as well.

Lads, first of all, this is just brilliant news across the board.

Gareth, I had the pleasure of speaking to Jack Moylan on the pitch on Saturday in Mercia and he spoke very fondly about his time in the League of Ireland and maybe the need to get behind the league for people who maybe follow the national team and don't follow the League of Ireland.

And you'll see more players like this coming through.
