Be it I'm not watching Stampton every week, I've seen clips of him making some unbelievable saves.
And it feels like even in that, they're hesitant to give him his props when he does well.
It's great to get out of Stampton to a club that are also pushing for promotion.
I know obviously Victor Johansen is injured.
And the plan is for him to step in while he's out.
But if he makes a good impression while Hans is out, Stoke have a decent push up towards promotion.
I mean there's a buy option there for I think it's six or eight million eight million I believe yeah eight million there's no reason why he can't push his way in there and be back to being a number one at either a Premier League chasing club or who knows if Stoke have a good end to the season could we even be a Premier League club themselves what are you thinking yeah I think from the Irish perspective obviously you need as many players playing you want as many players playing first team football week in week out
didn't work out too well Ben sorry to say but the only thing about Simpkin is though and Johansson they wouldn't have brought in Buzunu if they didn't think there's no way they would have paid the wages for this guy with an option to buy for 6 or 8 million if they didn't want him to outright challenge Simpkin to be the number one and say Buzunu you put in a good performance you're number one do you know what I mean yeah he's going to have some guarantees around game time that's for sure and Tommy Simpkin's only had he hasn't had a season at championship level he's played the last three games he's kept three clean sheets
it's not going to be make or break but it's an interesting development if you look at the English goalkeepers now I guess their development wasn't linear no and half our team the development hasn't been linear no if you look at the goalkeepers we have who is the next goalkeeper playing consistent football after Creavy and Keller Josh Keighley Josh Keighley he's league one level
Or if something happens to Callagher, like, I've no doubts over Josh Cooley's abilities and his qualities, but it's a huge drop-off from a top, top Premier League keeper to a League One keeper.
Experience on what you're facing every week.
Like, even if you're a top-level championship promotion chasing club, the drop-off to League One is massive.
Or the MLS.
The argument about where he plays in midfield is an interesting one because sometimes my opinion is when you have a player of such talent that we think that Andrew Moran has, I wouldn't limit him from being that 10 and having a full showcase of the creativity he has.
The other side of this is the MLS and you made 10 appearances, a couple of them were off the bench, you scored one goal.
You talk about the level of the MLS, what is the true level of the MLS?
Someone who I had such high hopes for was Conor Rowan and Conor Rowan has gone off to Colorado Rapids and there's never been any talk of coming back to Europe.
on the basis of that and how you develop your club I would love to see Andrew Moran move away from England and I'd like to see him develop in a more technical league and that is somewhere on the continent of Europe whether that's you go over to the Eredivisie and you go over to the Netherlands and you apply your trade there
I would love to see something like that because if you go to the championship the champion can go one of two ways where we've seen you can come in and you can excel or you can go in off the back of promises off a manager and a manager could be gone after two weeks and then the way the championship is a lot of the time when you bring in a manager the style of football is going to change to being pragmatic football and you've been brought in because the previous manager is not getting results
Let's be honest, he's probably not going to be going to a team that's chasing promotion.
