I think that explains okay, so then Curry changes that archetype, and now people look for Curry and they almost overfit into that, where they're like, okay, he can be, he can be the next Curry, he can be the next Draymond without understanding why, or he can be the next Jokic without understanding why.

Or to go back to your original example, he can be the next Dirk without understanding why there are really robust, deep skills.

skills that make those players so successful within that archetype.

And when you turn the dials down on any one of those skills, Dirk's combination of shooting, height, release, the way he uses his body, and his willingness to just kind of run into spaces off ball and catch and play that way, you know, if you're not doing that, then you can be seven feet tall and be a pretty good shooter.

And not be a great defender, and gosh, it's even worse if you're a white European with a really long funky name.

And it's like that's just gonna be the definition of basketball fools gold.

Yeah, I I think if we look at the last couple drafts right now they're looking like teams are probably feeling pretty confident that there aren't a ton of these sleepers and so you start to say, All right, we we use all our data, we use all our film that you talked about at the top and we're getting there.

Um but I'm not convinced, you know, like AJ Mitchell, what was he picked?

I was surprised I was surprised Ryan Kalkbrenner was the thirty-fourth pick.

Yeah.

And I think that's part of the fun of being on the outside now.

I mean, I do kind of miss not w not following the progression of these players like you get to do basically full time and just seeing fake names until they actually are on the court in the league.
