We saw with the Affordable Care Act repeal in 2017, there was a giant public uprising against that terrible bill.

They knew it was going to destroy them in the next election, as it was.
The response to Republicans trying to take away people's health care was the biggest issue in 2018, the same way the huge cuts to health care that Republicans passed this time are going to absolutely blow back on them now.
Millions of people losing access to health insurance, and there'll be people who die because of that.
The GOP's policies, they just don't actually work out well in practice.
And that's why the far-right con and the con of plutocrats over and over is to, with one hand, try to shred public services, and with the other hand, try to block democracy so there's not accountability for it.
So they don't have to pay for their choices.
Well, I will say for every person, there's a million things that you can do to start building the party at the local level.
I think for the national party, the thing that draws people to want to chip in is seeing how their money can affect the outcome of the election.
And
You know, there's often this sense and you do see it in politics.
You see it all the time with the Trump administration that donors want specific policies to pass.
And that's why they want to give money because they want to have certain policies.
Sure.
Those are called transactional donors and they exist.
