Parties are actually not the place that transactional donors focus because what they want is they want to have a relationship with a politician who could actually pass a policy.
What parties do is that they can say, we can win this election.
And so the thing that I think is going to energize donors for the DNC is the thing you see at state parties that are having success with fundraising is mapping out, this is the strategy, this is the tactic that we're going to be able to use.

Supreme Court just changed the rules for parties to allow federal party committees like the DNC to be able to fund candidates' campaigns to an unlimited degree and
And that could open the door to a strategy to say, like, we're going to zero in on the races where an extra push could make the biggest difference.
We're going to be really rigorous about finding the messages that really resonate with these voters.
And then we're going to we're going to fund those programs.
And that could be.
a way to be able to raise a lot more funds.
That's a huge part of what we did in Wisconsin.
I write in the book about the Scott Walker loophole, which is essentially the state level version of what the U.S.
Supreme Court just did nationally.
Just like nationally, the Republicans created it to benefit themselves, betting that Democrats wouldn't find the money to use that law to fight back.
And in Wisconsin, part of how we beat Elon Musk was raising money into the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and then using that to support the state Supreme Court candidate.
The local candidates.
The local candidates, exactly.
I think that that's exactly the threat, is that the Republican committees now can fund candidates who've been struggling to raise money on their own.
And that's a big part of why it's such a priority for the GOP.
They have, I mean, as we've discussed, an extreme, like an unbelievable amount of money that they're willing to spend.
