There's all these things that people can do.
But we've got four short months to do this kind of organizing and get ready.
I'm grateful to everyone who's been preparing along the way.
And now it's a sprint.
If we win this fall, especially for the state and local offices, then we have people who can continue to say no to Trump's attempts to overturn the elections in the future.
And that's the first acid test for whether this big movement to make the government actually work for the public rather than for Elon Musk and friends.
This is the first test for whether we can pull this off.
What does our electoral system look like if just 50% of your plan is implemented?
The national popular vote in itself would be such a change.
You know, right now, presidential candidates spend all their time in like seven states, maybe five, maybe four states.
Most people are essentially ignored.
Most people feel like they're spectators in our democracy.
There's no stakes for them.
The level of turnout in many states is below 50%.
In my state, it's like three quarters of people cast a ballot because everyone can see that their vote might be the thing that determines the outcome.
