I think the first thing that I do is start working with states to write a plan in each state to unrig the political system in that place and make those public.

In Wisconsin, we had a plan that was years out.

This is actually something that I learned from Ken Martin, who was the chair in Minnesota next door.

After I was elected, he brought me to Minnesota, and he said, when I was elected chair, we made a 10-year plan, mapped out all the races that we needed to win.

And Minnesota traveled this path, won a Democratic trifecta, and passed things that made the lives of everyone in that state better.

In Wisconsin, we mapped out a long-term plan, and we've been moving through that plan step by step.

It culminates this fall.

We could win a Democratic trifecta this November.

Governor, both chambers of the legislature, we have a pro-democracy Supreme Court.

I know that the DNC has folks that are talking to different states about this.

I want to see those plans in each place.

I want to sing them from the rooftops.

I want people to see how their work adds up to something bigger.

Because when it feels like every election is the most important one we've ever had, and then suddenly there's another one, it is exhausting.

You need to see a path from what you do to actually delivering change in people's lives.

And that has to be built from the bottom up everywhere in the country.

I think that's a thing that the party can facilitate and support.

And I think it's something that people can do, whether or not the party where they are is doing it, and they can get involved and build the kind of party that they want.

But to me, all of these things are connected to each other.

And until you understand the connection between what a state legislature does and how the house maps are drawn, and then who controls Congress and what laws pass,
