are these variations on a familiar theme?
Absolutely.
There's a lot of cards that are reminiscent of a mass.
And we kind of know how planeswalkers on the battlefield are going to play out from War of the Spark.
But I still am extremely curious going into the format.
I also think the five prepared spells at common or uncommon is genius design as far as like.
being able to seed synergy into the limited magic the gathering environment, right?
Because you get the same type of effect over and over.
It's my brain is so cube-pilled right now, but one of the things in the most recent Lucky Paper Radio episode they were talking about is they were they all went to this thing called Obscura, which was like one-shot cubes that nobody knew anything about.
And they were just talking about the the summer, what's the the Zeitgeist of cube
And like the zeitgeist of summer twenty twenty six is putting in
asynchronous um doubles or triples or six of a card or whatever.
And these prepared spells, having the same prepared spell is a way to do that in a limited environment.
Like put
You know, people are going to end up with lots of copies of the same spell, and then you can build synergy around that same spell.
So I'm very curious to see what ends up getting supported through these five unique prepared spells at common or uncommon.
So that that I think is also really cool.
And that's not a mechanic per se, but it just seems like there are new things to explore here, and that's all I want from Magic the Gather.
It is off to the races.
Yeah, very much looking forward to this format.
