You know, going back through all these and watching some for the first time.

is one of the darkest movies I've ever seen.
And I, you know, I l I love a lot of movies that are like
you know, just pure misery.
But that movie is so bleak and the level of like guilt and shame that is like put into that character as like the worst case scenario version of finding out who you were in those like lost times from your life feels very uh
It's 'cause he can put you in the point of view of a character so well.
And you feel like you're on the journey with that guy who is having the worst time.
more than almost any movie character has ever.

You know, it's a you know, it's a movie about a guy who is now sober and if he had just stayed in New York and stayed sober, he'd be fine, but he just
He just can't let it go and he wants to know what happened and he wants to know some things and then finds out that he did unforgivable stuff.
And he could have spent the rest of his life like the uh like the end of Old Boy with the guy who's like erased all the things and he can just live at peace.
But this guy chose
To find out.
And then he gets yelled at by Dennis Hopper uh in full Frank booth mode for like ten minutes.
Who literally shows him what he's done.
Uh yes.
