The idea that he is going to waltz in and somehow, because of vibes, it's just all magically going to be better.
I mean, look, maybe that would have worked.
30-odd years ago, but that's part of the thing.
He does seem to be a politician of a different era.
irresistible rise to the top of politics.
It's actually just very bizarre.
And I think it's a sign of quite how mentally frayed we all are with politics that it hasn't made more of an impact.
The fact that this man who was not an MP was given, I was about to say he was given an easy ride.
He had to work to find one eventually, but was effectively just given a free pass by the party that had given up on its own leader to go, all right, come and have a crack at it.

And I kind of just find myself sitting here going, well, on the one hand, this is nice because it's giving me a bit of a break from having to think about anything because he's not making me think.
The whole thing is just completely brainless.
The idea that he is going to waltz in and somehow because of vibes, it's just all magically going to be better.
I mean, look, maybe that would have worked.
