I don't know if you all remember, John Oliver did an incredible takedown on Sinclair a few years back.

And he showed how they give their various anchor scripts.

And there was the script.

It was that video where it has all these little screens of all the local news stations.

And you hear them all reading the same script.

And it all finishes with them in unison saying,

But the local news is all following the same script.

You think it's all these independent stations.

They're being told from the top exactly what to say.
