You know, the first time I worked with SZA, I could have gone in there and I could have played her...

But when I went in there, I wanted to hear her do a ballad because I knew and with guitar because I knew I hear her influences and I hear things that she hadn't totally done yet, but that she had done a little bit like, you know, she had made, you know, supermodel.
She had done records that sounded like that a little, but I wanted to
make something that I knew she was not only capable of, but could do better than other people that do in that other genre.
I mean, SZA is a true, true leader.
She is not afraid to fail.
She will do stuff that's what she wants to do.
If everyone's going left, she's going right.

That's what a great artist does.
So I've played things for people that would embarrass the hell out of me.
