If you actually saw the exchange, you know, the Aussie captain, in fairness, left it up to the kicker and he did say, I want to have a shot at it.

And I think what Roger's point was that when he was kind of kicking at his best, Pauly or Keith Wood or whoever the captain was,

kind of knew Roger's range and made that decision for him.

And if he made a decision for him, he went and kicked it.

And he felt that it was a 50-50 kick and the captain should have said, go down the line.

You know, particularly because he'd missed the one, the one he missed beforehand, the conversion was slightly harder.

It was five meters.

It was closer to the touchline, I think, a little bit closer, but...

In general, he'd missed the first one.

He's not a Roger or Johnny Wilkinson or Johnny Sexton in terms of international experience at kicking.

I thought it was a big ask for him.

And I think that's one of the things, Neil, that's where Australia are kind of lacking a little bit is that real kind of experience at 10, experience goal kicker.

Yeah, they had Brendan Folean and he went to Japan and he fell out of favour with Eddie.

But you're right, I think Carter Gordon is a phenomenally good running 10.

But what they probably need now is a game manager, steady Eddie, type 10, to be able to kick his goals, drop goals, et cetera.

I think the reality was, in hindsight, I think the right decision was to kick down the line.

And I think that was the right decision at the time as well.

It wasn't just because he missed it.

The percentage call was kick down the line, put pressure on Ireland to obviously try and set up for a drop goal, but more than likely try and win a penalty, you know, because Ireland are defending their goal line, which we know that it's so hard for teams to stop.

As long as you're organised and patient, it's very hard to stop you around the fringes there without giving away a penalty.
