in a final for quite a while, I think, of that level.
There were teams last year who were down the bottom of the URC.
They've made significant improvements.
Leinster had a load of British and Irish Lions playing.
Leinster have been in a lot of finals, nine finals.
They won the URC last year.
It's completely different.
except the opposition are of a similar level Montpellier and Bordeaux aren't there's not a million miles between Montpellier and Bordeaux a lot of people think Montpellier could win the top 14 this year so they are two very good sides but we have to have higher expectations of Leinster given maybe that's like given salary spend given the amount of internationals British and Irish Lions the fact they've been there a long time have won it four times no you can't expect Ulster to be at that level now
I think Steno, the best example in the URC of a team who did that this year was Cardiff.
So Cardiff were French-like in terms of targeting games that they believed they could win, getting maximum points out of that, rotating.
In fairness, it's not ideal, but they downed Tools a few times, Glasgow away there a couple of weeks ago, but then they were able to bounce back and beat the Stormers.
Ulster don't see themselves I would imagine as being Glasgow like or Cardiff like but I think what Cardiff did was they maximised their potential in terms of points and they're now in the Champions Cup next year are now in the knockout stages and it's just unfortunately we don't want Irish province to be like that that they have to be really specific but
I think as you grow as a team, you might have to do that for a little while until you get the resources or the player development.
Just something to flag here.
Like the French clubs are, even the Bordeaux's have for the last couple of months been seeing where the gaps were, what they could do better.
So like Tom Willis is going to Bordeaux, right?
Good sign, okay?
I think if you look at the rosters of...
Conor's roster next year looks better because of some personal, of player development in the behind.
Sam Ilo are now able to take on the role of players a little bit higher up.
