eat half of that sandwich.
He wouldn't eat the other half of that sandwich till Wednesday, Thursday.
I just thought that was weird.
I was like, I will always remember that.
I'm like, he wouldn't eat that sandwich till Wednesday or Thursday.
And the other time, and then I was on a plane not too long ago and I look behind me and it's the great Charlie Wilson from the Gap Band.
Really?
And I love, you know, before I got into punk and
post-punk and all you know the whole scene i was v103 fm atlanta that was my jam i only really listened to black radio and that late 70s early 80s funk that the got band are a huge part of cameo uh zap and roger and uh the time vanity six prince all that stuff but there he is and i and i turned around and i was like
I'm sorry to bother you, Mr. Wilson.
And he was like, oh man, you know, he couldn't have been cooler.
And he knew I was because of, we're lucky that we did Hard to Handle because Hard to Handle was like a calling card to people from other eras and in the R&B world that rock and roll people maybe wouldn't necessarily usually.
I met Lou Rawls on an airplane once.
He was the coolest motherfucker in the world.
