He got he got upset.
So he didn't really know what to do because he was super drawn to the rational thinking aspects of science and academia.
But at the same time, he felt like those same things that he loved about it and rationality worked against trying to learn more about how human consciousness worked.
They were too strict to do the kind of research he wanted to do, but he did enjoy that research because
It's strenuous and rigorous and it's, you know, by the way.

Exactly.
And I think that that is I think that's something that he ran up against because there were people who were definitely on his side and he had some like high powered allies and he was really good at bringing money into the school.
He was good at getting grants and that sort of thing.
But
When he started doing these experiments that either kind of went off the rails or couldn't or w he wouldn't let them be replicated by other scientists, people started kind of raising an eyebrow.
Um, like he was super popular with his students, obviously.
And some of those students worked with him in his lab, but he wouldn't let the students who worked with him talk to anyone about what they were actually working on.
Interesting.
And
Like, yeah, he wouldn't let other scholars try to corroborate the results that they were coming up with.
So then people were like, well.
We c we don't know if it's legit if you won't let us try to get the same results.
Totally.
Yeah.
