there, yeah. 'Cause uh I used to have very l long long hair hair and uh I I hadn't really cut it for years and years and it was kinda long and hanging down my back and round my neck and and um
I just uh I was walking in the Scottish Islands uh and uh we'd been camping out while camping and uh we'd gone a bit feral, you know, as you do.
We'd been out for about two and a half weeks and uh you know, it's starting to look a bit smell yeah, and uh bla baboons, you know, we were starting to look a bit sort of primal.
And uh I was lean my hair had gone into a weird matted state and I leaned over a camp.
Fire and a little bit of it caught fire and I was like, Oh, oh that's a warning.
That was a warning.
That was a warning exactly.
That was the cosmos saying, Bill, get your haircut, man.

So I did.
Was
It was.
It was very liberating.
I went to the barbers at the end of my road and I told him the whole story about, you know, the fact it was my trademark and I'd had it since the my twenties and this was a big day and getting rid of it was a big thing and he just went, Yeah, whatever, mate.
Twenty pounds.
Yeah, twenty quid.
Took six seconds.
Good.
