That's the thing that gets twisted sometimes with Jim McMahon specifically.

I watched every game Jim McMahon played in.

When he had to make throws, when he was allowed to throw the ball, he was very good and he made big plays.

And look, if you want to reduce him to quarterback manager, that's fine because that was more of what it was during that time.

But he threw and he was good and he can make big time plays too.
