Oftentimes, if we're taking time to pray to get alone with the Lord, and we have a thought about doing something later in the day, oftentimes we think it's the devil trying to distract us from prayer.
When actually, most of the time it's the Lord reminding us.
telling us about the things that are important to us and important to him.
I shared this concept, goodness forty years ago, in uh church where I was pastoring in the mountains of Northern California and one of the elders came to me afterwards.
He said, you know, he said uh during worship today, I had this thought about taking my family on this very specific vacation.
And it just randomly came to me and he said, he said, not too long ago, I would have considered that to be the enemy trying to distract me from worship and not realizing that the Lord is actually interacting with me in this time of co-laboring, in this time of fellowship, in this time of communion, that he's actually there's exchange of ideas.
And so he marked it down what he wanted to do, went back to worship, and he talked to me later, says I was able to take my family on a specific kind of vacation without any guilt.
Remember the scripture says that the Lord adds blessing, he adds wealth without sorrow.
There is a wealth to be gained, but it has sorrow with it.
It costs family, it costs reputation, it costs health.
But there is a prosperity that has no sorrow with it.
And that's what this dream was.
It was it was something he could, the way he could serve his family in a way that would honor and celebrate his family.
And he just delighted to do it.
And he he came to me, he said, This is this is a great joy for him because he was able to not feel distracted in worship, but actually realize.
that this was a part of the worship.
That actually every single part of our life.
is to be a part of our expression to him.
See, when you're devoted to Jesus, there is no secular part of your life.
There's no secular and then sacred.
