Eileen, this trial I understand was a little bit crazy.
It was a three-day trial here in downtown Miami, and there was like some people that almost came to blows.
Like there was almost a fist fight in the lobby.
You had a lawyer claiming that one of the star witnesses who was one of the enforcement.
Was like having an affair or had an affair with the relationship with the city manager.
It was like a novella.
What what happened in this trial?
that there was a sunshine violation.
Maybe whether it was committed by them or not is a different story, but in just turning over the the inability of you to obtain public records over the course of years, some sort of onerous or unreasonable demand for money, right, in exchange for public records.
Any of that kind of craziness.
like a huge problem because the judge did find that they violated the city charter, which to me is, I would think, arguably a more serious offense, and they did it in a way that sounds somewhat extortive, right?
Like if you don't do or if you do this or don't do this, you're gonna lose your your job, which is a pretty outrageous thing.
