Well, I mean, it's not us saying it.
The players are saying it.
But also, like, the players, when you've asked them about it, a lot of them say it weighs more.
It throws off my balance slightly.
And even if it's just a millisecond, like, that's the difference between, like, for a running back, a gap closing, and then you can't break a big play.
So they've chosen not to do so.
You're trusting yourself to choose their body over them choosing their body.
A. Chan also last year wore it for a little bit after he had concussion because his mom told him to wear it.
And he doesn't seem to be, unless I misremember, he doesn't seem to be wearing it this year.
So at some point he just decided not to wear it anymore.
It's not simply aesthetics, though.
They've said and they have chosen in trying to wear it.
We spoke to Austin Eckler last year who said it's just heavier and it throws my game off.
So no longer an ally of pro-choice here, body autonomy.
