So I suppose my poison is pool swimming and open water swimming.

And that helps me keep grounded from a physical point of view and a mental point of view.

So when I'm struggling, I'd probably go into the swimming pool and try and fix the problems of the world and the problems of Dublin Bus in my head while I'm training.

So that would be... And look, bouncing things off people who I work with as well and bouncing things...

My wife is a great mentor and coach as well, so I'd use her quite extensively as well to bounce ideas off.

I have.

And look, the reality is people say that, you know, in CEO positions or at the top, you know, it's a very, very lonely place.

And it can be, but it doesn't have to be.

That's the funny thing.

So, you know, I would confide in people within the organisation and I certainly would confide with people outside the organisation.

I haven't done coaching in a while because I just haven't had the capacity to do it.

But I have used it in the past and used it very, very effectively in the past.

And of course, I do bounce things off friends and family as well.

oh, look, a perfect day for me in the job would be every bus turns up and every bus turns up on time and everybody is safe and gets to their destination 100% of the time.

That's, you know, that's a utopia which is never going to be met given the complexities of the city we work in and the variabilities of our operation on any given day.

And the worst day is, look, the worst day I can actually think of and that we experienced was the riots, the November riots a couple of years ago, when everything went heads up on the back end of a very, very serious incident and a very, very tragic incident as well.

You know, but unfortunately, we lost control of the city that time.

The state lost control of the city.

And that significantly impacted our operation from a Dublin bus perspective.

Like to see our buses being burned out on Connell Bridge, it broke my heart, to be honest with you.
