And, you know, to think that our drivers potentially were in danger.

Now, we pulled our services at a particular time in that crisis because we felt it was too unsafe to avoid those services.

In the most recent fuel protest, I was in the control room because it happened at a time where...

You know, I was on my way into work and I made my way to the control room.

The protests were a little bit different.

I was already home and I spent pretty much my whole evening on Teams calls and on the phone trying to, you know, in significant issues like that, we would invoke our crisis management plans and then we go into crisis management mode.

Mode and I would take control of that and we'd have the various different members of the executive leadership team in on it as well as various different operational experts and all.

And I just go into crisis management mode.

I've dealt with it in the aviation in my past.

I've dealt with it in Dublin Bus.

So you've got that steady hand on the tiller I suppose?

I would even say I nearly excel in that particular mode because I get this adrenaline rush and I just keep going.

But the problem is sustaining for a long period of time can be difficult.

But I would definitely say the November riots is probably the darkest day that I've seen in my small time in Dublin Bus.

We've been liaising with Middle Garda Síochána very closely during those type of issues and problems.

And when we feel that maybe, you know, we've lost control of the city.

Now, that's the only time I'd ever say that because it's the first time I've ever seen it in Dublin city.

But the reality was there was rioters running riot across the city.

That was too dangerous for us, you know.
