We absolutely do.
No different than any other semi-state or organisation or operation that's running services as complex as Dublin Bus.
So we're constantly looking at our costs as well to see can we do things more efficiently.
And we have done that in the last three to five to six years and given money back to the NTA.
Yeah, it's a really good point.
Look, I suppose the reason we're going down this road is to meet our climate action targets.
I think that's the first thing to mention.
Moving from a diesel operated fleet to a fully electrified fleet is quite complex and quite significant, right?
So at the moment, we bring our buses in at night, we clean them and we fuel them and they're ready for the next morning, right?
Once you electrify that full fleet, now you have to bring them in and now you have to put a charging process around it and manage the charging process around it.
So it's a hell of a lot more complex, right?
We are already starting to embark on that journey, as you'll be aware.
The NTA are responsible for the purchasing of the vehicles.
We don't do that.
However, we are responsible for the implementation of the charging systems.
In Dublin Bus, we have 196 chargers available to us at this moment in time.
We have 160 electric buses in our fleet which are operating.
So we do have room to take in more.
And we're constantly and continuously expanding.
I'd say by the end of 2026, we'll be up around 220 electric vehicles.
