So uh not not only are the definitions and the concepts consistent, so they're actually set internationally.
Uh so we we often talk about the international labor organization and international labor organization standards.
That's not entirely true that they're ILO standards.
The ILO has a a leadership role, but actually every five years, uh
International labour statisticians get together to do international standard setting and actually establish standards that are used across the world.
Now that means that the way that we uh so that the concepts that we use um and generally the questions that we're using in Australia are consistent with what are being used in the UK, the US, Canada, um, across Europe.
It's it's a very a very standard approach.
approach and and beyond the concepts and the questions, even the the ways that we approach collecting information.
So labor force surveys are are pretty consistent the world around.

Payroll surveys where we're asking questions of employers tend to be pretty standard.
The way that we use administrative data tends to be pretty standard.
So that ensures that we've got not only the best estimates for Australia, but but also we've got estimates that you can compare um, you know, with our
counterparts around the
We do a lot of work when it comes to seasonal adjustments.
So not only producing seasonally adjusted data, but also looking very closely at our methods and and calibrating and refining um the way that we do seasonal adjustment.
Generally it's it tends to perform um well.
So if you're looking at the labour market, the Australian labour market is very seasonal.
It tends to be um seasonalities um largely con confined to
periods around public holidays and school holidays, you don't tend to see a huge amount of seasonality outside of those, other other than in the the lead into um the start of summer and and the lead into Christmas.
