She had she had illness issues, health issues.
We didn't exactly know the extent or the cause, but even last year, after the WTA finals in press, she talked about going to
See a doctor in the offseason to try to maybe manage.
Again, I don't know the details and I don't want to speculate, but there was some maybe physical weakness that she was dealing with that would have prevented her from being at her peak physical fitness.
