Yeah, that's the thing.
Because when we get into the actual content of Metal Gear Solid, that's where I get like, I don't even know if I want this movie.
You know, I don't think I... Metal Gear Solid is when we get into the conversation of video game adaptations versus other mediums.
When you get into the comics, when you get into the books, right?
There's...
I think a lot you can do there as far as interpretation and fully realizing what this looks like in a cinematic sense, right?
Books aren't necessarily cinematic unless, well, in your brain they are, but like when you're reading, it's like not cinematic inherently, right?
Same with comic books.
Video games, and this is where I land with
why I think the last season two especially didn't work and why I worry about God of War, why I worry about things like Horizon, right?
When you are adapting something, even though Horizon, I think, has been rumored to be a prequel, even though that got rebooted, so who knows what that's going to be.
But when you are adapting something based off of an already existing video game story, when you're going beat for beat,
I have a cinematic version of the story already.
It's called Metal Gear Solid.
You know what I mean?
That game and that series has been developed to present like a movie.
I know when you do a live action movie, there are things you can do there.
Of course, there's Kodak calls and all these things and so much story that you can recontextualize in ways that make more sense for a film.
But I don't look at Metal Gear Solid and go, oh, I wish this had performance.
I wish this had voice acting.
