But that's really not why I went in.

I I I went in for selfish reasons in a lot of ways.

Like I I needed a very large boot to be stuck up my rear end.

I've said it that way uh a a lot of times and and the Marine Corps seemed to have the biggest boot.

I kind of wanted to get fixed and straightened out.

And I I liked the challenge of it and and so yeah, I enlisted in the Marine Corps.

I did end up finishing college like

seven years after I started while I was in the Marine Corps.

But um

Yeah, I I went in really because I was unhappy with myself and um, you know, thought I needed some help, really.

Yeah.

And and it worked.

They've got a very large boot.

They're good at straightening young men out and giving them a purpose and a mission and a challenge and all those things appealed to me.

I don't miss it.

But I haven't ever regretted doing it.

You know.

I never really anticipated staying in.

Like I never considered it a career that I'd go in for twenty years and and enlist.
