And by the way, while we're going through this tit for tat between Trump and the Iranians, the rest of the world is going to have to make its deals.

I mean, the rest of the world is going to have to go to Iran and say, OK, what is it going to cost me to be able to get the British are going to have to come to the Iranians and say, what's it going to cost me or the French or whoever?

And that'll all be going on while Trump is, you know, sort of treading water with this pseudo war that we're that we're fighting that that is the way it could break out.

And then eventually the world has adjusted to the fact that Iran is controlling the straight.

Who is going to point out what a disaster this is?

That's also an interesting question.

Normally, we would have an entire Republican national security community, even if this were a Republican president.

A lot of people went after Reagan because they thought he was selling out to the Soviets, if you can remember that.

So normally, we would have Republican national security officials and particularly Hawks saying this is a catastrophe for America.

But since all these people are in the business of ingratiating themselves with Trump and the Trump movement, you're not going to hear that.

So the only people are going to be yelling and screaming are Democrats and randos like us.

And I'm not sure that from Trump's point of view, any of that matters.

I really don't have a strong instinct one way or the other.

I mean, the opposition party that has emerged, it looks like it's at least within striking range of him.

But the Israeli electorate is hard for me to predict in this case.

I mean, after all, you know, let's not pretend that Bibi has been doing this all by himself.

OK, let's not pretend that the Iran policy is just Bibi's wild idea.

I mean, the Israeli public has been behind this.

October 7th had an understandably huge effect on their willingness to undertake these kinds of activities.
